Campus
Mines Paris – PSL has 4 sites in France : Paris, Fontainebleau, Versailles Satory and Sophia Antipolis.

Paris
60, Boulevard Saint Michel, 75006 PARIS
The Paris campus is the historic site of the École Centrale Paris, which moved into the former Hôtel de Vendôme in 1816. Initially renting the ground floor, it moved in permanently when the buildings were bought outright under the July Monarchy in 1837. Over the following decades, the building was gradually transformed to meet its teaching and research needs.
The Paris campus is home to the school’s management, main teaching facilities, library, mineralogy museum, Mines Paris Foundation, Mines Paris Alumni and several research centres:
The site is also home to the Institute for Digital Transformation (ITN).
Fontainebleau
35, rue Saint Honoré, 77300 Fontainebleau
Since 1967, the Fontainebleau campus has been home to 3 research centres and a training institute.
- Geosciences
- Mathematical morphology (CMM)
- Computer science research (CRI)
- Higher Institute of Environmental Engineering and Management (ISIGE)
The library houses most of the School’s Earth and Environmental Sciences collections. It also houses the “Earth Sciences, Environment and Sustainable Development” collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and UNESCO’s “Man and Biosphere” programme.
Sophia Antipolis – Campus Pierre Laffitte
1, rue Claude Daunesse, 06904 Sophia-Antipolis Cedex
Created in 1969 by Pierre Laffitte, then Director of the Ecole Polytechnique, the Sophia Antipolis technology park brings together major groups and start-ups, research centres and training organisations.
The Pierre Laffitte campus is also home to a number of specialised masters programmes run by these research centres, and regularly welcomes students from the School at various stages of their studies.
In the early 1970s, he decided to locate several of the École’s research centres here. Today, there are 5 centres here:
- Materials Processing Center (CEMEF)
- Applied Mathematics Center (CMA)
- Risk and Crisis Research Center (CRC)
- Observation, Impacts, Energy Center (O.I.E.)
- Processes, Renewable Energies, and Energy Systems Center (PERSEE)
The site is also home to The Transition Institute 1.5 (TTI.5).
